Resurgent Kwara united humiliate Abia Warriors 5-1 in their first group A game played at the Agege stadium on Monday. Flying Eagles assistant coach, Bala, believed he has the squad that can surpass his achievement in the same competition when he led Niger Tornadoes to the final but lost to Akwa United. "Our target is to play in the in the final and possibly win the trophy. I want to surpass my achievement where my team came second." Coach Bala is confident of beating their next opponent, Rivers united in their second group game on Wednesday. "We watched Rivers United match against Kano Pillars today. We took our time to study their team's strength and weakness. So, we are coming out on Wednesday with a decent game plan to capitalise on their weakness and hold them on their strong areas." He attributed Kwara united recent excellent performance to change in players mentality as well as financial motivation which makes them a side to beat. "We have concentrated mostly on change of mentality of the players, we've also did a very good job on motivating the players, we also introduce new style and character into the team. Now we have a solid team that can face any club in the Premier League."
