2018 FCT FA League: We trained only for four days before FCT League kicked off - Omole

2018
We trained only for four days before FCT League kicked off - Omole By Ameachi Agbo Finalist for the FCT 2018 Super 4, Flomat FC, had just four days training before the league kicked off on October 10, BSN Sports reports. Proprietor of the club, Olushola Omole disclosed this in an exclusive chat with our correspondent. The Flomat owner who attributed the team's success in the league this year to collective efforts of the players and the technical crew, commended the FCT FA for job well done but called on the officials to ensure fair and just officiating at all times. "We are less than one year old. The team was registered this year. Reaching the FCT League final is a collective efforts. Initially we did not plan for the league and to be sincere, we did not think we would reach this level but this is where we are today. "Looking at the records, we have played seven matches, lost one and drew one. And since losing against Fosla FC, we have gone on to win our next five matches. "Waco FC, our opponents today, is a fantastic club but I believe that football is a game of 90 minutes and until that duration is decided, anything can happen. "The officiating has not been too fantastic. I want the officials to be fair to all teams at all times. The organisers should take time and call the officials to order to ensure fair play especially the match tomorrow. Good officiating will go a long way to ensure that FCT grassroots football development plans have the expected impact on the people and on the play itself. "The FCT League has come a long way. I am so happy about the standards of the games and organisation," Omole said. The final match of the FCT Super 4 between Flomat FC and Waco FC will hold tomorrow at the Area 3 Play Ground by 3:45pm. Prior to that, Basic Maracana will play Folsa FC by 10am. Winner of the FCT Super 4 will represent the FCT in the Division 3 playoff next year.
