2018 has been a fulfilling year for me - Balogun

Nigeria's Super Eagles defender Leon Balogun has considered just concluded 2018 as a fulfilling year for him, reports BSNSports.com.ng.

Balogun left German Bundesliga side Mainz05 during summer of 2018 and joined English Premier League side Brighton Hove Albion, thereby achieving his long awaiting dream of playing in the prestigious English premier League.

Aside club football, the lanky defender also achieved a dream of every footballer to play at the FIFA World Cup by representing Nigeria at the Russia 2018 mundial.

The light skinned defender revealed his happiness about his achievements in 2018 and also mention little setback he suffered same year.

It’s been a very challenging but overall exciting and a happy year that has made some of a little boy’s biggest dreams come true.

There have been some obstacles that I had to overcome, however reflecting back most of them turned out to be blessings in disguise.

Barring any injury worry or loss of form, Balogun is expected to be in the Nigeria team into the 2019 African Cup of Nations.
