Nigeria Football Federation technical director, Mr Bitrus Bewarang urged Nigerians not to judge the Super Eagles with the results from their last four friendly matches. He appealed to Nigerians to patriotic and always say positive things about the country.
Speaking with journalist in Abuja after the Super Eagles 2-1 loss to Czech Republic on Wednesday in Austria. He said: "Even before the qualifiers nobody gives Nigeria senior national team the chance before the commencement of the world qualifiers. But at the end of the day, we were all laughing when we qualify.
He stated further that friendly games are not a do or die affairs but to correct errors the coach notice from the matches.
" The coach is using the friendlies to see which player play better with which formation and not necessary to win at all cost. I believe we are going to see a different ball game at the world cup in Russia when we play the first match against Croatia."
The Super Eagles will surprise the world at the world cup finals. The boys has the spirit of wvwry Nigerians in their blood and i believe they will up their game and do well at the world cup." He concluded.

Following their discouraging results, Nigerians have suddenly lost confidence in the team with ten days to the beginning of the 2018 world cup in Russia.
Nigeria will play Croatia in the first game on 16th June 2018, then slug it out with Iceland and Argentina in their last group game.
