Meanwhile, our reporter also collated reactions from a popular Nigerian sports WhatsApp group (NSM)

Football Galore:

"Did the NFF set target for him before AFCON? Keshi had a target and he passed the test. This team isn't good enough. If we get to the semi finals, it will be an achievement. I don't expect anything from this team.

Adewale Ajayi: "He is indestructible, indispensable, untouchable, unmovable and unshakable. I will wait until this journey end, then I will talk. Shame on all of us who have invested our time, money and sweat in promoting this team. How do we defend this? Madagascar Nigeria Guinea Burundi? So we cannot top a group of minnows? We are doomed.

Bella Ekeoma: "If Coach Rohr fails to lift the Trophy. He should head straight to Germany from Egypt.

Barrister Etsu Babanyara Emmanuel: "No sire this coach is not good enough period this team is good enough.

Coach Yema: " To me, it is not all about topping the group. The most important thing is qualifying. Then we can now access the team overall performance of the team. Rohr has stayed for almost 3 years and i expect a solid team from him by now."

Mowiz: "See we are out. After this now Ghana if we scale through Egypt then Algeria... Na out get us. If we finished top it would have been SA , Cameroon then Senegal."
