2019 African Games: Team Nigeria Medals Update

As 2019 African Games in Rabat Morocco is heading towards the end, Team Nigeria is gathering momentum and have suddenly wake up to haul myriad of medals in different sports.
On Monday, after winning a total of 18 medals in weightlifting, Nigeria brings the total number of medals won to 36 and move up in the ladder of medals table.
In recent years, Egypt and South Africa are the two challengers on medals table and this year's African Games might not be different as well.
Thought, Team Nigeria are not on the 3rd on the medals table yet but may likely finished 3rd before the end of the 2019 African Games.
As at Monday night, Team Nigeria has won a total of 36 medals, 12 gold, 11 silver and 13 bronze medals.
Nigeria weightlifters won 7 gold and 7 silver and 4 bronze on the day two of the weightlifting event at the ongoing African Games in Morocco.
Emmanuel Appah won 3 gold in the men's -61kg , Adijat Olarinoye won 2 gold and 1 silver while Chika Amalaho won 1 gold and 2 silver in the women's -55kg respectively.
On Monday, Nigeria lifters won 1 gold, 4 silver and 4 bronze, this brings the medals of the weightlifting event to 7 gold, 7 silver and 4 bronze.
Team Nigeria has also won medals in Athletics, badminton, basketball, table tennis, taekwondo and gymnastics.
