2019 FCT Coaches Preseason: EFCC FC Emerge Champions, Defeat Alpha FC 2-0

The football team of Nigeria anti-graft agency, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Friday defeated the tournament's defending champion, Alpha FC 2-0 to emerge champions of the 2019 FCT Coaches Association Preseason tournament, BSNSports.com.ng can report.

Alpha FC defender, Izuchukwu brought Gabriel Nambur down in his own 18-yard box after the former has successfully dribbled past him. EFCC FC attacker, Ben Obi stepped forward to convert the penalty in the 32nd minute.

Despite efforts by the runners-up to level the scoreline in the second half, it ended 1-0 as both team headed into the dug out.

The silver-winning side came out with blazing guns to pull back a goal but Saleh Mohammed's 57th strike left their efforts with nothing to show and they fell 0-2 to new champions at the Area 3 play ground.

On their road to final, EFCC FC outscored their Nigeria National League (NNL) counterparts, Road Safety FC 2-1 n their first match. The champions walloped FC Selected 6-1, thrashed Wazobia FC 3-0 and tore Galadima FC apart and picked the semifinals ticket.

EFCC FC defeated Nigeria Air Force FC 3-1 to book their final ticket against Alpha FC.
