2019 FCT FA League: Tikitaka, Golden Boys Win First Games

By Niyi Busari

The 2019 FCT FA League started with wins for Tikitaka International Football Academy and Golden Boys FC in the first and second games on match-day One at the Area 3 Playing ground.

Oluwole John scored the tournament's first goal as he puts his team Konsole Football Academy ahead in the 32nd minute from the spot. The first half ended 1-0 as Konsole went into the dug out with their shoulder high.

Leku Kelvin and Soliu Mohammed were on song for Tikitaka in the 64th and 80th minutes to secure a win for coach Cornelius-led team.

In the second match, two early goals from Golden Boys in the first ten minutes was the highlight of the eye-catching and entertaining match.

Justice Emmanuel scored the fastest goal of the tournament when his effort left DAL FC goalkeeper with no option before Gaius Samuel doubled the advantage eight minutes later.

Having learned from mistakes that led to the two early goals, DAL FC re-organised the midfield and their defense line to keep Golden Boys mute for the remaining 80 minutes of the tie.
