2020 AWCON qualifier: Super Falcons to face winner between Togo and Niger in the second round

The draw for the 2020 African Women Cup of Nations ( AWCON) qualifier was held on Wednesday at the CAF headquarters in Cairo, Egypt, BSNSports.com.ng can report.
A record of 36 African countries senior women football teams were drawn to fight for qualifying for the first round of the qualifier which is scheduled to take off early 2020. 12 countries entered into the qualifying race to increase the number of African women football countries to 36.
Four power house of African Women football including defending champions Super Falcons of Nigeria, last year runners up Bayana Bayana of South Africa, Indomitable Lioness, Mali, Coted'Ivoire and Morocco were drawn bye for the first round.
Nigeria, nine-time champions will face the winner between Togo and Niger in the second round of the qualifier.
Nigeria is presently the defending champions after they triumph via penalty against South Africa in the last edition of the competition in Ghana.
CAF has however, not announced the hosts country of the 2020 African Women Cup of Nations.
