  2020 Handball League: COAS, Lagos Seasiders Victorious As Benue Queens, Imo Grasshoppers Humbled By Niyi Busari Defending Champion Kano Pillars got a reality shock in their quest to retain their title as they suffer defeat from high flying Safety Shooters at the Prudent Energy Handball Premier League ongoing at MKO Abiola National Stadium, Abuja. The Sai Masu Gida of Kano did everything they could to avoid defeat but lost out to the superior power of Safety Shooters 20-19 in what was an intense match. Other matches in the men category saw COAS Shooters digging deep to win Niger United 30-28 while De Defenders were comfortable enough to defeat Kada Stars 26-20. Plateau Vipers and Delta Force Produced an entertaining match with Vipers winning 20-21 while Lagos Seasiders needed 100 percent concentration to defeat stubborn Confluence Stars. In the women category, defending champion finally got their first win of the league, howbeit, with a struggle as they defeat Imo Grasshoppers 21-20 while Edo Dynamos defeated Defender Babes 25-22. Seasiders Babes came top of Benue Queens with a 34-31 win while Kada Queens emphatically defeated Desert Queens 31-16. Match Day 2 Results FEMALE Imo Grasshoppers -- Safety Babes 20--21.
