2020 NSF Playoff: Adam Mouktar Optimistic of FCT Football Team Qualification

Chairman, FCT Football Association, Alhaji Adam Mouktar Mohammed charged the FCT Football team to go and make Abuja resident proud in Ilorin.

The FCT Men Football Team will leave Abuja for Ilorin on Monday to participate in the North Central elimination competition for a place in the 2020 National Sports Festival coming up in Edo.

Mouktar who just returned from Saudi Arabia where he went to perform lesser Hajj (Umrah), met with the players and officials of the team, and urged the players to be disciplined, determined and remained focus on picking the qualification ticket to the oncoming National Sports Festival tagged Edo 2020.

The defending champions, Team FCT who won gold in the last Sports Festival held in Abuja have been in an open camp in preparations for the zonal elimination since last year, played six friendly matches, won four drew one and lost one. The gold medallist in 2018 played against EFCC FC, NAF FC, Road Safety, FWC FC among others.

The FCT FA chairman who believe in quality preparations mandated Chairman, Technical Committee of the FCT FA, coach Abimbola Samuel to monitor the preparations of the defending champion.

Alhaji Adam who is optimistic of the team qualifocation appealed to both the players and officials not to engage in anything that is capable of bringing the name of FCT to disrepute.
