The 17-year old live in Austrialia and has been training in Kazan, Russia for the past a year under FINA scholarship as a promising swimmer. While speaking ahead of her event, Ogunbanwo was excited for having the opportunity to represent Nigeria and urge young athletes to always give their best. "Having opportunity to represent my birth country is something I have dreamt of doing since I was young. "This is because I want to inspire other young Nigeria girls to pursue their ambition and promote the development of swimming in Nigeria," she said. The youngster will compete in the 100 meter freestyle on wednesday.
