The 21-year-old made history on Sunday, after he emerged as the first Nigeria athlete to qualify for men's 100 meters final in 25 years. Though he was unable to finish the final race due to hamstring injury yet he received accolades from sport lovers across the globe. While speaking to Brila, Adegoke said he's happy with the development adding that his injury is getting better. “It has been an awesome moment, coming here and making history, running sub 9, reaching the final, it’s been an honor to achieve all these things. "I was told yesterday that it has been 25 years since any Nigerian male got to the final. “It was a minor hamstring sprain, but I’m feeling better anyway.” He concluded.
