2020 Tokyo Olympics: Team Nigeria Athletes Protests Their Exclusion By Sampson Adedeji After their exclusion from the athletics events, some of Nigeria's athletes staged a protest in Tokyo as a way of showing their disappointment with the development, BSNSports.com.ng can reports. Following non compliance with the directives of Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU), 10 of Nigeria's athletes were disqualified few days ago from taking part in the athletics events. The affected athletes were seen around the venue in Tokyo carrying placards with various inscriptions. The athletics events commenced on Friday morning without 20 affected athletes across 5 countries omitted from action. Two Team Nigeria athletes were in action in the women 100 heat and were able to secure semi final spot.
