The duo of Anuoluwapo Opeyori and Godwin Olofua representing Nigeria suffered defeats in the first two games against Japan and Denmark. They face Team Russia on Tuesday and both were defeated again, losing 2-0. Ivan Sozonov and Vladimir Ivanov representing ROC proved to be the better side with 21-8, 21-10 victory. The defeat means that Team Nigeria in Badminton has finally crashed out after losing all the three group games.
