2021 AFCON: "Group D Is Balance" - Hossam El Badry
Sampson Adedeji
Pharaohs of Egypt head coach, Hossam El Badry has described group D which consists of his team, Nigeria, Sudan, and Guinea Bissau as a tough group, BSNsports.com.ng can report
While the Pharaohs and the Super Eagles are considered as being favourites to finish top of their group and qualify for the round of 16, El-Badry believes that the task won’t be as easy.
"Our group was quite balanced and not easy due to the improvement of all these teams, who also have great players.
"I have great confidence in God and the capabilities of the players to overcome this group and perform well to satisfy the aspirations of the Egyptian fans.
"The coaching staff and I are thinking about each stage separately.
"Currently, we are only focusing on the team’s journey in the World Cup qualifiers to achieve our target to qualify for the finals.
"As we already reached our first target, which was to qualify for the African Cup of Nations," he stated.
The Africa Cup of Nations is set to take place between 9 January 2022 and 6 February 2022 across five cities in Cameroon.
