2021 AFCON: CAF President Impressed With Level Of Preparation

The President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Patrice Motsepe has said he is impressed with the infrastructure put in place by Cameroon ahead of the 2021 TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), BSNsports.com.ng can report
Motsepe together with the general Secretary, Veron Mosengo-Omba were in Cameroon on Friday where they visited Olembe Stadium in Yaounde.
The stadium will host the opening and final matches of the 2021 AFCON.
The competition which will bring together 16 teams will take place in five cities between January 9th to February 6th in Cameroon.
“I’m very satisfied with the briefing I got and what I saw. I saw the Olembe Stadium and it is world class; we should all be proud as people of Cameroon and as Africans. We must applaud Cameroon building such infrastructure,” said Motsepe.
He added that he is certain come next year when the 2021 AFCON takes place, the rest of the world will be impressed.
“ I’m very satisfied with what I have seen. We are on track,” added Motsepe.
