Lesotho head coach, Thabo Senong has heaped praises on the Super Eagles of Nigeria after the visitors came back from 0-1 down to defeat the hosts, 2-4 in one of the 2021 African Nations Cup qualifiers played on Sunday in Maseru, BSNSports.com.ng can report.

Having traveled all night from Nigeria to arrive Lesotho on the matchday, the Super Eagles went 0-1 down in the 11th minute when Masoabi Nkoto broke the hearts of the traveling fans through a neatly finish.

Senong says it was not an easy game for the Gernot Rohr-led team to come back into the game to win 4-2 as the three-time African champions were not in control of the game in the early minutes of the tie.

Lesotho coach, Senong when responding to questions from the media said: "For me i don't have anything to say much, i think to come back from 1-0 down to win is not that easy. For me, i will say a very good team that we played against today."

Goals from Everton forward, Alex Iwobi in the 26th minute, Samuel Chukwueze in the 38th minute and Victor Osimhen's brace within 10 minutes in the 75th and 85th minutes put Nigeria in the driving seat before Chidozie Awaziem's own goal made the scoreline 2-4.

Nigeria are topping the group L table with 6 points while Benin Republic who defeated Sierra Leone by a lone goal are second on the log.
