  2021 AFCON Qualifier : CD Leganes Releases Omeruo By Sampson Adedeji Ahead of the Super Eagles 2021 African Cup Of Nations qualifier against Benin Republic and Lesotho, Spanish Segunda division side, CD Leganes has released Nigeria's Super Eagles defender Kenneth Omeruo for the matches, BSNSports.com.ng reports. The former Chelsea defender was among the players listed for the double header game by the team handler Gernot Rohr. Omeruo who is expected to return to action for Leganes this weekend against Fuenblrada was missing last week due to injury. The club manager Asier Garitano confirmed the return of energetic defender through a press conference organised of the game. He said the club has released Omeruo for the national team assignment and is expected to join the national team next week. Nigeria will face Benin Republic on 27th of March before the final game against Lesotho on 30th of the month.
