As the match day 5 and 6 of the 2021 African Cup Of Nations qualifier draw closer, president of Nigeria Football Federation Amaju Melvin Pinnick has said traveling arrangement of Nigeria's Super Eagles will soon be finalised, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
Newly elected FIFA council member few days back hinted that Nigeria senior side will travel via boat, a decision that draw the attention of football stakeholders and fans.
While speaking to Arise TV, Pinnick said, there is nothing wrong in travelling via boat and there is no country in the world without black spot.
" For this game, it's an important game and there nothing wrong in travelling through boat. It's not everrytime you travel in bus with siren everywhere.
There are security challenges everywhere in the world, we work with government and they are trying their best to fix the situation.
If we look at the merit and demerit, pros and cons and think that they want to travel with bus no problem but it will not be because of security issues.
Some of my players I spoke to are Ajegunle boys and some grew up in aquatic area like Etebo, he grew up in Warri, we play and swim and nothing happen," he said.
Nigeria will play Squirrels of Benin Republic in Port Novo in the match day 5 before playing Crocodile of Lesotho in the final match day.
