2021 AFCON qualifier: Michel Dusseryer list 23 players for Eagles

Ahead of the 2021 African Cup of Nations qualifier against Nigeria's Super Eagles, the coach of Squirrel of Benin Republic Michel Dusseryer has listed 23 players that will face the three-time African champions, BSNSports.com.ng can report.

Nigeria's Super Eagles and their counterparts from Benin will square up in the match day one of the qualifier slated for Nigeria.

Notable among the invited players are Cherif Kakpo, Emmanuel Imorou and Jean Ogochi, these players are expected to play active role when they face Nigeria.

Benin was one of the African countries at the 2019 African Cup of Nations in Egypt but crashed out at the round of 16 after they lost to the finalist Teranga Lions of Senegal.

After playing against African giants, Nigeria in the qualifier Squirrel will face Serria Leone in the second match.

The list of 23 Squirrels:

Goalkeepers: Fabien Farnolle (Yeni Malatyaspor, Turkey), Marcel Dandjinou (ESAE FC), Chérif Cakpo (Buffalo FC)

Defenders: Olivier Verdon (Eupen, Belgium), Ogouchi Jean (Dragons, Benin), David Kiki (Brest, France), Youssouf Assogba (Amiens, France), Yarou Nabil (Buffalo), Cédric Hountondji (Clermont, France), Melvyn Doremus (AF Bobigny, France), Emmanuel Imorou (Thonon Evian, France)

Midfielders: Agossa Jérôme Bonou (Djoliba, Mali), Jordan Adeoti (Auxerre, France), Mama Seibou (Toulon, France), Anaane Tidjani (AS Soliman, Tunisia), Sessi D'Almeida (Valenciennes, France), Stéphane Sessegnon (Gençlerbiligi, Turkey)
