2021 AFCON Qualifier: Comoros, Egypt Pick Tickets

Action continues in the 2021 African Cup Of Nations qualifiers across the continent and countries continued to book their place in the biennial competition, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
History was made on Thurday afternoon as less fancied Comoros qualified for the 2021 African Cup Of Nations at the expense of more established teams like Hawks of Togo and Harambe Stars of Kenya.
Comoros started the qualifier on impressive note in a group that consists the most successful country in the competition, Egypt.
They lead the group and played host to Togo needing just a point to secure a place in Cameroon.
Despite efforts from the away side, Comoros was able to hold their own and played out a 0-0 which was enough to earn them a spot in the competition for the first time in their history.
Meanwhile, Pharaoh of Egypt also qualified for the competition after they held their host Kenya to a 1-1 in far away Nairobi.
Comoros led the group with 9 points while 6-time African champions and host of the last edition Egypt is placed second as they prepare for the match day 6 of the qualifier.
