Head coach, Super Eagles of Nigeria, Gernot Rohr has pointed out why his lads conceded early in their match-day 2 African Cup of Nations qualifier encounter against Lesotho in Maseru, BSNSports.com.ng can report.

Super Eagles went 0-1 down in the 11th minute when Masoabi Nkoto put the hosts ahead in a game the three-time African champions came back to win 4-2 and maintain their fine form.

Reacting to questions from the media immediately after the match, the Franco-German tactician said their late night traveling from Nigeria to Lesotho affected his players in the early minutes of the game.

"I want to at first thank people from Lesotho for the hospitality. We know that it is difficult to win in Lesotho especially when you concede the first goal, they played very well in the beginning and we have to run after the ball to take the match in our hands which we did and progressively we came back to win the match." Rohr told journalists.

"We have a long traveling in the night, this is why in the beginning my players were not really necessary concentrating and then in the second half we changed our organization and it was better and i feel that my players have fun when they play football and that is the most important that you enjoy the game. We win but congrats to my colleague, yes, a good team that gave us a lot of troubles." He concluded.

Alex Iwobi put Nigeria on level term in the 26th minute as Samuel Chukwueze scored Eagles' second goal twelve minutes later.

Lille striker, Victor Osimhen scored a brace n the 75th and 85th minutes before Chidozie Awaziem scored an own goal to reduce the tally to 2-4.

Nigeria's Super Eagles are topping group L table with 6 points from two matches while Benin Republic placed second with three points in two games after defeating Sierra Leone 1-0 on Sunday.
