2021 AFCON qualifier: Omeruo, Kalu are early birds

Ahead of the 2021 African Cup of Nations qualifier against Benin and Lesotho, the trio of defender Kenneth Omeruo, midfielder Mikel Agu and winger Samuel Kalu have arrived the team camp in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state ahead of the Wednesday's 2021 African Nations Cup qualifier tie against Benin Republic, BSNSports.com.ng can report.

BSN Sports reports that Nigeria's Super Eagles will host Benin Republic on Wednesday before playing Lesotho four days later.

The duo of Omeruo and Kalu missed the team last match against Brazil due to injury sustained while on club duty but are back to help Nigeria defeat their opponents in their AFCON qualifiers double header.

Both players arrived the team’s Ibom Hotel and Resort camp on Sunday night, while Mikel linked up with them on Monday morning.

The rest of the players are expected to hit the team camp before the end of Monday.

The Super Eagles will travel to Maseru for their matchday-two encounter against the Crocodiles of Lesotho on Sunday.
