2021 AFCON Qualifier: Super Eagles Need To Approach Benin Republic Match With Seriousness By Sampson Adedeji Former Nigeria's Flying Eagles Coach John Obuh has advised the Super Eagles under Coach Gernot Rohr to approach upcoming 2021 African Cup Of Nations qualifier Benin Republic match with all seriousness, BSNSports.com.ng reports. Nigeria will hope to secure its passage to the 2021 African Cup Of Nations in Cameroon when they face Squirrels of Benin in the match-day 5 of the qualifier. While speaking to BSNsports, Obuh further said Super Eagles is a bit stable under the Franco-German gaffer despite the criticism that ravaged the team in the past. " Lagos has a way of pulling out the best out of a team, so going back to Lagos to go and play is very progressive thing for the Super Eagles. I think nothing has been permanent with Nigeria National teams for sometime but ever since Gernot Rohr come we might see him not as a very good coach like everybody is saying but what is more important is progressiveness of the team. "I think they have been very progressive." The former Kwara United coach told BSN Sports. "They should not play Benin Republic as Benin Republic, they play them as Super Eagles who want to go and win, because most times we look at our size and the dominant we have already have in this part of the world. "We that influence to go and play other country but today it doesn't work like that again, every country are very strong as far football is concern, even they are going better than our own level of development. "So, if we are going to play Benin Republic, we should play them as natural Super Eagles we are used to not as any team," he stated.
