Despite the game against Squirrels of Benin Republic yet to come up, Nigeria's Super Eagles have booked its place in the upcoming 2021 African Cup Of Nations in Cameroon, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The three-time African champions are already in Porto Novo getting ready to face the Beninoise in the match-day 5 of the qualifier needing just a point to sail through.
The other two teams in the group Lone star of Sierra Leone played Crocodiles of Lesotho earlier in the day at the Setsoto Stadium in Lesotho.
Despite all the fireworks from the away team, Lesotho was able to hold their own and ended the game at goalless draw
The result mean that Nigeria's Super Eagles have qualified with 8 points as both Sierra Leone and Lesotho cannot catch them again.
The group standing indicated that Nigeria top with 8 points from 4 games followed by Benin 7 points with same number of games.
Sierra Leone remained in third position with 4 points from 5 games while Lesotho stayed last on the log with 3 points in 5 matches.
The last match day will be a formality for Nigeria but will be a busy day for Benin provided they lost to Nigeria in the match 5 on Saturday.
