2021 National Youth Games: Munachi Obiefuna Leads Team FCT To Emerge Best Youth Gymnasts By Niyi Busari Munachi Obiefuna on Friday led Team FCT to emerge the best Female Team in Gymnastics in this year's ongoing National Youth Games in Ilorin. Munachi led two other Team FCT athletes to an unprecedented achievements on Friday scooping 11 medals in gymnastics. The 13 year-old national champion won three gold and one silver medals. Team FCT stood out in gymnastics by winning a whooping 5 Gold medals, 5 Silver medals and a bronze totalling 11 medals to achieve the feat. Speaking with BSN Sports in Ilorin, Munachi said her target is to represent and win medals for Nigeria at the Olympic. She dedicated her achievements to parents and coach who have stood by her. "I am very happy to defend the title I won in 2019. Team FCT is so determined and had worked very hard to achieve the feat. "I dedicate my achievements to God almighty, my parents and coach. The trio are responsible for all my achievements. My target is to represent and win medals for Nigeria at the Olympic. She concluded. The 2021 National Youth Games which was declared opened on Friday will climax next Wednesday. National Youth Games is an annual grassroots sports organised by the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development. Since inception, the University of Ilorin has been the host and will continue till the tenth edition.
