2021 National Youth Games Officially Get Underway Today With 28 Games By Niyi Busari The 2021 National Youth Games will officially commence today Friday, 15 October 2021 with 28 games. This follows a two-day extension from initial kick off date due to the lack of accomodations for athletes as the University of Ilorin is still in session preventing officials and athletes access to the Games Village. The Acting Director, Grassroots Sports Development, Bode Durotoye has assured Nigerians that the schedule for the Game will not affected despite the shift in the opening ceremony date. Meanwhile, Team Ogun on Thursday picked the first gold medal in Gymnastics in this competition. The sixth National Youth Games will end on Wednesday October 20, 2021.
