2021 Volleyball Premier League: Kano Pillars Keep Title Hope Alive Volleyball The Nigeria Correctional Service (NCS) volleyball male team on Tuesday recorded second loss in day three match of the ongoing 2021 Nigeria Volleyball Premier League phase two final. The second phase of the league played at the indoor hall of the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja. The NCS win the first set 27-25, before Kano Pillars catched up and won three consecutive sets from second set to fourth set to record 24-25,21-25,19-25 to record their second victory. Speaking after the match, the Head Coach of Kano Pillars, Musa Babamusa said "I am happy to have defeated my opponent. "I am happy that my team got second win in this competition. And the officiating is good. "Our dream is to lift this season’s title is still intact because we have six more matches to play. "My team lost to COAS in our opening match.2-3. We beat Sunshine Spikers 3-1 to record our first win and now this is our second win," he said. He noted that the organizer are improving on yearly basis and it wasn't like this last year, when we played the competition, the federation have improve and congratulate them to keep on improving. He added that “Two years ago, Kano Pillars finished third place after a very tough season in Ilorin. "This time, the title is going to follow my team to the Kano state by the grace of God," he said. On his part, the head Coach of Nigeria Correctional Service (NCOS), Adamu Nitte, said that we lost out of concentrations. We are going back to drawing board to check our mistakes and in our subsequent match we will get it right. "Our previous match, we lost to custom service 0-3, second match we won 3-2 against Nigeria Police and now we lost this is our second loss in the competition. "Our teams are doing well and they have everything it takes to end the championship. We want to be among the set of the first three winners in the competition,"he said. "We won't give up our hope," Coach Correctional Service added. Other match played in the male category, the Nigeria Customs defeated Nigeria Police Force (NPF) 3-0. Offa volleyball club record their first win 3-0 against COAS. On Wednesday, Sunshine Spikers of Akure will play Nigeria Correctional Service and Nigeria Immigration will play Kano Pillars in the fourth match. OFFA Volleyball Club (VC), Sunshine Spikers of Akure,Kano pillars,Chief of Army Staffs (COAS), Nigeria Customs Service and Nigeria Correctional Service (NCOS). The female seven teams are Kada Emerald, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Queens,Chief of Army Staffs (COAS) spikers. Benue Queens, Nigeria Police Force (NPF) Queens, Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) Queens and Nigeria Customs Service Queens. This is the second phase Volleyball Premier League which started on Sunday and is expected to end December 21 holding at the Moshood Abiola Stadium package B. Abuja.
