2022/23 NWFL Premiership season kickoff date confirmed.
Organizers of the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) have announced the date for the resumption of the 2022/2024 season of Nigeria's female topflight league, NWFL Premiership, BSNSports.com.ng reports exclusively.
The date was confirmed by the organizers during the NWFL annual congress meeting held in Golden Tulip Hotel, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State on Wednesday where it was revealed that the league will be abridged format and fourteen teams will be divided into two groups of seven each.
According to the organizers, the new season will kickstart on the 14th of September 2022.
However, the teams that gained promotion from the NWFL Championship to the NWFL Premiership are Heartland Queens and Ibom Angels.
