2022 AWCON: Banyana Banyana Will Step Up Against Nigeria -Ellis

With seven days to the important clash against Nigeria's Super Falcons, the manager of Banyana Banyana of South Africa, Desiree Ellis has insisted that they must step up their game, BSNsports.com.ng reports.

The two teams who played in the final of the last edition of the competition will come face-to-face in the opening group C match in Morocco.

South Africa have been in Rabat, Morocco venue of the Group C matches for almost a week while their Nigerian counterpart arrived on Monday.

While speaking on a cable television ( Newscentral) Ellis maintained that they must step up to secure a positive result against Nigeria.

"History has shown us that we are capable of playing against the best in a big game and we have been training well in the last couple of days.

We know Nigeria as the defending champions, they will come all out gun blazing and we need to step up to get a positive result against them," she said.
