2022 AWCON: Botswana Storm Morocco For Super Falcons

Ahead of the 2022 African Women Cup of Nations, Nigeria's Super Falcons group opponent Mares of Botswana have arrived Morocco, BSNsports.com.ng reports.


The Mares will be making their debut in the competition after they surprised bookmakers to secure a qualification ticket.


Since their qualification, the team has embarked on rigorous training and engaging in international friendlies against top nations.


The football federation of the country on Thursday released the final list of 23 players that will fly the country's flag in Morocco.


They departed the country on Sunday afternoon for Rabat, Morocco venue of the tournament.


Botswana will face Burundi in their opening group match before coming face to face with the defending champions Super Falcon and then tackle Bayana Bayana in the final group game.
