2022 AWCON: Super Falcons Step Up Their Preparation Beat Naija Ratels

Nigeria's Super Falcons intensified their readiness for the upcoming 2022 African Women Cup of Nations as they secured a win in a warm-up game against Abuja based Naija Ratels, BSNsports.com.ng gathered


The team has been in camp under the coach Randy Waldrum getting to successfully defend the title they won in 2018.


All the invited players are already in camp except the duo of Desire Oparanozie and Chinwemdu Ihezuo who pulled out of the team due to border restrictions while their replacements Ngozi Okobi and Ana Imo are already with the team.


They took on Nigeria Women Football League side Naija Ratels on Thursday afternoon at the Moshood Abiola training pitch and goals from Francisca Ordega and Gift Atule gave Super Falcons a 2-1 win.


The African Women's Nations Cup will commence on Saturday 2nd July, 2022 with Burkina Faso facing the hosts, Morocco at 9:30 pm.
