Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies midfielder Chuene Morifi said they met a good team in Nigeria's champions Bayelsa Queens, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
Both teams clashed in the opening group B game of the ongoing 2022 CAF Women's Champions League on Monday and it was Sundowns that came out with a 2-1 win.
While reacting to the game, Morifi said, Bayelsa Queens are a good side and have produced several players for the national team.
"This was a very tough game for us because Queens are a top side in Nigeria who possess several players from the national team.
"Things were a bit difficult for us in the early period, but we managed to settle in and take control of the game.
"We converted our chances when they came, and we are pleased with the outcome of the fixture.
"We are eagerly looking forward to the next game", she told the club media.
The Bayana Ba will face Wadi Degla in their next group game on Thursday.
