2022 CWG: Amusan, Brume One Step Away From Winning Gold For Team Nigeria

Team Nigeria duo of Tobi Amusan and Ese Brume are one step away from winning gold for Nigeria at the Commonwealth Games, after they respectively qualified for the Women's Hurdles and Long Jump events.

World Record holder, Amusan qualified for the final of the Women’s 100m Hurdles with an easy win clocking 12.40s in her heat.

Meanwhile, Ese Brume on her part hit the automatic qualification mark, leaping a distance of 6.81m (+0.3) on her second attempt to safely make it to the women's Long Jump final.

Amusan and Brume will return on Sunday looking to reclaim the Commonwealth Games title at Alexander Arena in Birmingham.
