2022 NSF: Sports Ministry Maintains Ground On Para-Sports, Approves Three Demonstration Sports
Even though there is an ongoing protest by the Para-Athletes, the Ministry of Sports and Youth Development has insisted that there will be no para-sports event in the upcoming National Sports Festival in Delta State, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The affected athletes have been on the streets of Lagos protecting their blackout from the biennial championship.
According to the press release from the Ministry on Wednesday, Cricket was approved to take part as a medal sport in the championship.
Three demonstration sports were also approved, they are; Mixed Martial arts, Net Ball and Teqball to be part of the event.
The inspection team from the Sports Ministry will be in Delta from the 3rd to the 5th of November to inspect the facilities on the ground.
The 21st edition of the festival is scheduled to run between November 28 to the 10th of December, 2022.
