2022 WAFCON: Plumptre Back In Training For Burundi

After missing the last game due to injury, Nigeria's Super Falcons and Leicester City defender, Ashleigh Plumptre has returned to training, BSNsports.com.ng has gathered.

Plumptre played from the left side of the defense in group C opener which they lost 1-2 to arch-rivals South Africa. The England based trained separately from the team for the match against Botswana.

She was absent from the team and they secured a 2-0 win in the encounter with Payne playing from the left-back position.

Plumptre on Saturday was spotted training with the rest of the team ahead of Sunday's crucial match against Burundi.

It's remained unclear if Plumptre will return to the starting lineup or if the coach will stick to Payne as the left-back of the team.
