2022 World Athletics C/ship: Enekwechi Zoom Into Shot-put Final As Mixed Relay Team Finish 6th In Final

Team Nigeria at the ongoing 2022 World Athletics Championship in Oregon continues to make an impression with their performance, BSNsports.com.ng report

The Nigeria quartet of Samson Nathaniel, Patience Okon-George, Dubem Amene and Imaobong Nse Uko took part in the final of the 4×400 meters mixed relay final.

They arrived in Oregon earlier in the day and they took part in two races back to back.

They finished in the 5th position in heat 1 and ended up qualifying for the final.

In the final race, Team Nigeria finished in distant 6th position with the Dominican Republic, Netherlands and the United States clinching the gold, silver and bronze respectively.

Meanwhile, Nigeria's Shot Putter Chukwuebuka Enekwechi lived up to expectations as he zoomed into the final.

The American-based athlete in group A threw a 20.87m to finished 4th and reached the final.

His compatriot, Dotun Ogundeji missed the final after he threw 18.35m.
