Sampson Adedeji
After she qualified for the 100 meters women's hurdles final, Nigeria's track star Tobi Amusan has set her eyes on a podium finish, BSNsports.com.ng understands.
Amusan on Saturday lived up to expectations as she ran her fastest race and finished with a time of 12.40s in heat 3.
And apart from winning the race the African champion also broke her previous African record of 12.41s.
"I did not know I was going that fast. The aim was just to qualify. At these championships, I am aiming for the podium for sure and want to take the fastest time, trying to execute well.Â
"I trust my hard work so I am just going to come out here and do what I have to do," she stated.
