Hotels in Kumasi are fully booked ahead of the decisive 2022 World Cup playoff between West African giants Ghana and Nigeria on Friday, BSNSports.com.ng gathered. 


The two sworn rivals who have an extremely closed-tie will lock horns at the Baba Yara Stadium for the first leg tie on March 25.


And, in anticipation of the crunch game -which is expected to have a global TV audience stretching into the hundreds of millions – hotels in and around Kumasi are already fully booked.


GHANAsoccernet.com understands that bookings have been made by fans and several stakeholders all in a bid to watch the titanic clash.


Prices have skyrocketed beyond expectation as the Black Stars breeze to town to take on their bitterest rivals in global football.


The Ghanaian team received a rousing welcome when they touched base in the Garden City on Tuesday.


The Nigerians have been talking tough ahead of the crunch double-header both in Ghana and Nigeria this month.


The winner of the tie over two legs will qualify for the Qatar 2022 World Cup.


Meanwhile, football is considered a religion in the Ashanti Region and when the Black Stars arrive in town they are kingly received.


The fans troop to the stadium in numbers to watch Ghana play all the time, and as usual the 40,000 capacity seater stadium is expected to be filled to the brim.
