Nigeria's D'Tigress back to winning ways in the ongoing 2022 FIBA Women World Cup qualifier Belgrade Serbia as they defeated World Number 5 France, BSNsports.com.ng can report.
The Nigeria side lost their opening group game to China and needed to secure a win in the second match.
The game started with France showing their superiority in the game and was able to record an emphatic win in the first quarter with 28-11.
France continued their domination in the second quarter with a 16-10 win but D'Tigeress was able to reduce the point deficit to 10.
The Women Afrobasket champion took over the game in the third quarter putting up an amazing performance but still lost 48-52.
Nigeria's Vicky Macaulay was the cynosure of all eyes as played an active role in the last quarter helping Nigeria to a 67-65 win over France.
Macaulay was the top scorer for Nigeria with 19 points.
They will face Mali in the final group game on Sunday.
