2022 Qatar WCQ: Musa Play Down 100 Caps, Target Maximum Points
Sampson Adedeji
The skipper of Nigeria's Super Eagles Ahmed Musa has played down his 100 caps achievement but hoping that the country secure maximum points on Sunday against the Central African Republic, BSNsports.com.ng can report
The Nigeria side led by Musa will hope to redeem their image when they face CAR in Douala, Cameroon on matchday 4 of the qualifier.
While reacting to the achievement, Musa expressed his happiness in achieving the feat but stated that 3 is more vital at this moment.
"I’m happy that I am about to win my 100th cap, which is a thing of joy and pride for any football player at the international level. However, I am more concerned about the three points.
"The three points here have become much more precious due to what happened in the first leg which we lost.
The individual honor is welcome but I am more concerned about collective glory and our country’s pride," he said
If Musa get to play on Sunday in Douala, he will join the duo of Joseph Yobo and Vincent Enyeama as players that have 100 caps for the country
