Sampson Adedeji
According to the report emanating from the headquarter of the African soccer governing body, the Qatar 2022 World Cup playoffs might be played in just a match as a decider, BSNsports.com.ng can report.
Ten teams including Nigeria's Super Eagles have picked the playoff ticket after 6 rounds of group games.
Initially, the playoffs were planned to be two-legged affairs but the football body is already having a rethink about the format.
The report suggests that the matches will be played at once at a neutral venue but it remained to be seen if the involved countries will subscribe to it.
The final decision is slated for the executive committee meeting of the body slated for November 25th, 2021.
