2022CWG: Team Nigeria Clinch Gold, Bronze In Shot Put

It was wild jubilation in the camp of Team Nigeria on Saturday afternoon as they secured two medals in the women's Shot Put event, BSNsports.com.ng reports.

Team Nigeria have been outstanding in various sports since the start of the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, England.

The duo of Eucharia Iyiazi and Ugochi Alam lived up to the billing as they secured Gold and Bronze in the event.

In F55-57, it was Eucharia who set a new Commonwealth Games record by throwing 10.03m to finish in the first position and clinch gold.

Her compatriot, Alam came third with a throw of 9.30m to finish in the third position and claimed bronze.
