2023 AFCON: "Believe In Us" - Musa Urges Nigerians

Nigeria's Super Eagles skipper Ahmed Musa has urged Nigerians to believe in the team, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Super Eagles have been under scrutiny in recent times following their inconsistent performance right from the qualifiers.

The team suffered a surprise 2-0 defeat to the Syli Stars of Guinea in the final warm-up game in Abu Dhabi.

Musa said the team have quality players and they are ready to give their best in Ivory Coast.

Everybody is excited and waiting to go to Abidjan. After the last game in Uyo, when the campaign started, we told ourselves about going there to shine. 

We can see all the quality in the squad and we can’t say otherwise. In football, anything can happen but we have confidence,” Musa told NFF TV.

“Even the coach has set a target of winning the AFCON for himself too. I just want Nigerians to believe in the team, with their support we can go far.”
