2023 AFCON: "I Hope Indomitable Lions Can Match Nigeria Standard" - Cameroon Legend

Former Indomitable Lions of Cameroon goalkeeper Antoine Bell admitted that the Super Eagles are better but hopes the players of the Indomitable Lions can match the standard, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Despite their high rating before the start of the competition, the 5-time champions have refused to live up to the expectations.

They relied on the last-minute goal against Gambia to book their place in the round of 16 of the tournament.

“We are going to witness a good game and the best team will win,” the 1984 and 1988 AFCON winner said.

“I hope Cameroon would improve its game because what we’ve seen so far has not been good.

“Of course they qualified but you cannot compare both teams and I hope Cameroon will match up to standard.“, he said.

The Super Eagles came out victorious the last time both teams met in 2019 in Egypt.
