2023 AFCON: "We Hope To Have Nwabali Back For The Next Match" - Peseiro

Nigeria's Super Eagles coach Jose Peseiro has said he wants injured Stanley Nwabali to recover in time for the next game, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Chippa United goalkeeper was replaced in the 79th minute by Francis Uzoho after he sustained an injury in the course of the game against Cameroon.

During a post-match conference, said is yet to know the level of the injury but he will be fit for the quarter-final game.

" We will assess the state of Nwabali’s injury in the next 24 to 48 hours. It’s difficult to assess his condition, while we were in the match. 

But I am hoping that he will be fit for the next match… I want him to play. And the players want him to play", he said.

Nigeria will play Angola in the quarter-final match
