2023 AFCON: Algerian FA Pay Off Coach Belmadi

The Algeria Football Association has decided to pay off the coach of Desert Foxes Djamel Belmadi, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Since winning the African Cup of Nations in 2019, Desert Foxes has failed to win a single game in the competition in 2021 and 2023.

They crashed out of the competition in Ivory Coast after a surprise defeat to Mauritania.

Belmadi was forced to step down from his position but he insisted on getting his payment before leaving the post.

According to the update from the North African country, the FA has paid a whopping â‚¬7.8 million to the gaffer who was on $200, 000 a month.
