2023 AFCON: Alhassan Yusuf Out of Cote d'Ivoire Clash

Nigeria's Head Coach José Peseiro declared that Yusuf Alhassan will be sidelined for tomorrow's clash at the 2023 AFCON against Cote d'Ivoire due to injury, BSNSports.com.ng reports. 

In a press conference ahead of the clash with the hosts; the Super Eagles head coach confirmed that: "For this game, he isn’t ready but might be for the final game of the group."

However, there's a possibility of his return later for Super Eagles last game against Guinea Bissau according to Coach Peseiro at the press conference.

Recall that he was forced out of his AFCON debut after he impressed for the 68 minutes he was on the pitch.
