2023 AFCON: CAF President Says Media Criticism Will Help Develop African Football

The President of the Confederation of African Football Patrice Motsepe has singlehandedly called for media criticism ahead of the 2023 African Cup of Nations, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The football supremo believes the media can point out errors that will make the competition a success.

"Part of the media's role is to criticize us, to identify where there are gaps and weaknesses. That's why it's very, very important that we work with the media so that they can help us identify some of the areas that you (the media) feel need urgent attention. 

"We have a team of people who have been here for six months working with the government on a daily basis", he said.
